The Programming Team
The light that makes our house functional

Team Mentor: Alan Pries, Information Technology (Atlanta International School)

Team Leader: Adrien Pellerin, Sophomore (Atlanta International School)

Every programmer joined the program team for the same reasons: The more veteran programmers joined in order to be able to apply their skills to a tangible object, and a robot was the perfect opportunity to do so. The newcomers to the robotics team and/or programming joined in order to learn. All of the programmers joined the robotics team with the intention to focus on programming. Experience or not, everybody hopes to expand their skills under the light of their mentor, Alan.

There have, of course, been setbacks. Adrien almost suffered an epileptic fit when his computer (Colin Hill says that the only thing keeping the computer running is Adrien’s blind faith in it) went crazy on him, unleashing bright flashes of colors and incomprehensible text, and because of constant changes in the chassis design, the code has been rewritten and rewritten. Nonetheless, the programmers push on. Every year has been a new level of performance and a new level of challenges. Once again, our team is ready to meet them head on!
