iHOT Wins Peachtree Regional!

iHOT Team 1414 finished in 1st place overall at the 2006 Peachtree Regionals, thereby securing an invitation to the 2006 National Championship in Atlanta. The team is looking forward to participating in the big event, and would like to thank all the mentors and volunteers for making this the best year yet. For pictures from the event, click here.

About iHOT

iHOT, International House of Technology, is Atlanta International School's (AIS) FIRST Robotics team. The team's founding, by former AIS student Arianna Gutierrez, in 2003 is indicative of iHOT's emphasis on student leadership—a philosophy that still exists today. iHOT is run by a core group of student leaders from all sub teams. Members range in age from 13 to 18, and come from far and wide.

Atlanta International School has a diverse student body representing more than 70 different nations, and iHOT is a true reflection of the school's international heritage. Moreover, iHOT is basing its principles on AIS's core values, and is heavily involved in philonthropic activities around the globe.

Mission

iHOT's mission is to raise awareness of important issues affecting underprivilaged countries and to inspire other FIRST teams to use technology to help them.

iHOT's outreach efforts have included programs such as the Columbian school project, Mad Physics science education, and the Landmine Detection Challenge.
